A playful lounge chair on wheels
This piece of furniture inhabits elements of playfulness and style of Italian classics from the 60’s and 70’s combined with modern Scandinavian aesthetics with the brutalist steel frame.
The original idea was to create a design where the cushions were the main focus, but as the iteration continued the steel frame got round shapes to soften the harshness of the steel.
The result is a comfortable and mobile lounge chair on wheels, with big cushion and a playful steel frame as support.
When designing the metal-frame it became apparent it was nice to add some friendly and welcoming round shapes, referencing the wavy shapes of the 60’s and 70’s celebration and playfulnes and fun.
