“Morph”, 2024, 10 × 3.5 m, spray and rollers, Roskilde Festival.
A work dealing with life and death. How we as human beings are part of nature, with a consciousness that makes us active creators, but also reminds us of the transience of all things. A vast paradox of joy and pain, surrender and exhilaration.
The motif depicts a woman, symbolising human consciousness united with nature and with that which decays (and that which lives). The forms blend into one another and the concrete becomes abstract. Are we looking at her clothing or her skin? Is it a dog or a rabbit? Concrete shapes and symbols become abstract in a symbiosis between materialism and dualism, life, death, Nature (as a whole), and the human being.
